Munroe Falls, OH – Ruman Racing heads to West Virginia this weekend to compete in the SCCA National at Summit Point. Both Niki and Amy will be racing at Summit after beginning the season in the January Florida Nationals at Sebring and Moroso.
Coming off of her win at Sebring while debuting in GT-1, Niki Ruman will switch back to driving the #20 Cenweld/rumanracing.com Spec Racer. Amy will resume her primary racing seat in the #23 McNichols/Cenweld Corvette in GT-1 for the weekend.
“There is certainly nothing like winning in a GT-1,” reiterated Niki. “The McNichols/Cenweld Corvette is an incredible racecar and I loved racing it at Sebring. Smooth and fast! I’m handing the GT-1 steering wheel back over to Amy for Summit and the rest of the season, but I’m eager to get out on the track in my Spec Racer. It’s still hard to find better competition than the Spec Racer fields.”
“I am ready to get back in the car. Moroso was such a disappointment for me when we lost the motor and I was running in 2nd place. But, the crew has had some time to get the car back together and ready to roll this weekend,” stated (A) Ruman. “The GT-1 field is usually a good one here at Summit, so I will have my work cut out for me.”
