Munroe Falls, Ohio – Two-time Trans Am Champion Amy Ruman and her Ruman Racing team will return in the No. 23 McNichols Chevrolet Corvette for another full season with the series and compete for a third Trans Am Championship Presented by Pirelli title. The season kicks off this weekend at its usual opener, Sebring International Raceway. Ruman ended the 2023 Championship season third overall in points standings, in an extremely tight points battle for second through fifth positions.

Earlier this month, Parella Motorsport Holdings (PMH) announced that Amy Ruman will serve as a mentor for several of the younger drivers for the PMH Powering Diversity Scholarship program in 2024, with the program assisting in backing fourteen racers across the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, Ligier JS F4 Series, Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) and Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA). “Tony (Parella) and PMH approached me to serve again in 2024, and of course I accepted. The program is so important and helps to open doors for a multitude of talent in this industry. My family and I have been long time ambassadors of the Trans Am Series and I’m honored to take on this important role again as a representative for these young and upcoming drivers,” noted Ruman.
A big field is expected for the Sebring opening round, with sixty-three competitors entered across all classes at the 3.7-mile road course, with twelve running in Ruman’s TA class. Trans Am is running in conjunction with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) as part of the2024 SpeedTour. Testing, practices, qualifying, and races will take place Thursday through Sunday. The CUBE 3 Architecture TA2® Series race will be Saturday, February 24th at 11:15am followed by the Trans Am TA/XGT/SGT/GT feature race on Sunday at 11:15am ET, both races are 100.98-miles, 27-laps. MAVTV COVERAGE AND LIVE STREAMING: The 2024 National Championship will broadcast LIVE on MAVTV’s linear television network and its Free Ad-Supported Television (FAST) channel, MAVTV Select.
