Ruman is 9th in Series Points
Munroe Falls, OH -Bob Ruman, will head West with the Trans-Am Series this weekend to compete in the Wine Country 100 Trans-Am race at Sears Point Raceway in Sonoma, CA. This is round six of the 2001 Trans-Am season and the Sears Point race will be broadcast live on CBS beginning at 2:30. It is the first time since 1995 that the Trans-Am Series has run at Sears Point and it will be Ruman’s first time to compete there in Trans-Am. Ruman is currently 9th in the Series points standings.
“Sears Point is such an exciting track,” said Bob Ruman. “It is narrow and tight, like a street course with hills. Qualifying will be very, very important here as there are limited passing areas.”
Television – Sears Point will be the third Trans-Am race of the season to be televised on CBS. It will be shown LIVE on Saturday, July 21 at 2:30-4:00 pm (EST).
Track – The track is a 2.52 mile, 12 turn grand prix course. The race length will be 40 laps for 100.8 miles.
Next race – Portland, August 3-5
