August 19, 2003 – Munroe Falls, OH – Bob Ruman will head to the north country of Wisconsin to compete this weekend at the famed high-speed track, Road America in Elkart Lake. Ruman will be competing against a twenty-one car field in Sunday’s race.
“Road America is the longest course we run and it has a completely unique strategy,” explains Ruman. “Those four high-speed miles provide a lot of action on the track. We were running here very well last year, in 5th place, when we were hit late in the race. We’ll be aiming for the top-5 again this year and we know there will be a lot of tough competition to get there.”
Ruman is coming off a 9th place finish at Trois Rivieres. “We had a good car and set up two weeks ago at Trois Rivieres and we are confident that we’ll have it here too with the McNichols/Cenweld Corvette.”
Television – The Trans-Am 100 will be shown race-day on Speed Channel Sunday, August 24 at 12:30 pm (ET)
