September 04, 2003 – Munroe Falls, OH – Ruman Racing announces the launch of its improved website today at www.rumanracing.com.
“We are very pleased to unveil our new and improved website,” comments Niki Ruman, the team’s co-manager and one of the drivers. “The newly redesigned website offers improved navigation and information on the Ruman Racing team’s current and past activities, high quality graphics, photographs, schedule and team information. The site also contains information about our sponsors, McNichols Company and Cenweld Corporation. We hope you will take a minute to visit our new site.”
“We have been working very hard on the new site and I am very excited about the new look. I feel that the internet is such an excellent media vehicle to reach our fans and to provide up-to-date information regarding the team,” remarks Amy Ruman.
Each year is an exciting one for the team, and this one has proved to be just that. Ruman Racing, Inc. has been fielding drivers primarily in Trans-Am, SCCA GT-1, and Spec Racer throughout the 2003 season.
“The family based nature of this team is one of our great strengths. When my father, Bob Ruman, had to sit out a few Trans-Am races early in the season due to surgery (he was back to Trans-Am racing by the Cleveland Grand Prix in July), my sister Amy kept the #23 McNichols/Cenweld Corvette on the track, racing quite successfully in GT-1,” states Niki. “Dad stepped into the role of owner/crew chief and orchestrated Amy’s races. Amy has a race win this year and all top-5 finishes under her belt and she has qualified for the SCCA Valvoline National Run-offs in September at Mid-Ohio. We are then hopeful to finish out the season with Dad racing at the two final Trans-Am events at Miami and Puerto Rico.”
