Munroe Falls, OH – The Ruman Racing team will be taking the weekend off from the Round 2 Mosport, Canada race on the Trans-Am circuit this weekend and opting to run a home town GT-1 SCCA National Race at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course instead. Driving the #23 McNichols Co./Goodyear/Cenweld Chevrolet Corvette in this weekend’s race, Ruman hopes to capture her first National win of the season.
“I’m a bit torn that I am missing the Trans-Am race, but I’m looking forward to running at a home track this weekend. It’s great running in Ohio because I know there will be lots of home town fans there to support me,” stated Ruman. “It should be great weather for the race on Sunday and Ryan (McManus) is entered for the race so I know I will have some good competition.”
The GT-1 class is group 3 for the weekend, and Ruman will take to the track for two qualifying rounds on Saturday at 8:50 am and 1:20 pm. The 19 lap – 45.6 mile race is scheduled for Sunday morning approximately at 10:25 am.
Ruman’s sponsor, McNichols Co., is headquartered in Tampa, FL, and is the largest U.S. distributor of “Hole” products with service centers across North America.
