May 21, 2002 – RUMAN LOOKS TO LIGHT IT UP AT LIME ROCK
TRANS-AM ROUND THREE
Munroe Falls, OH – Bob Ruman is approaching this weekend?s Mohegan Sun Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park, CT with an eagerness to jump back in the car. Ruman is looking to better his 5th place finish at the Long Beach season opener earlier this year. Last weekend’s Mosport race was a disappointment due to engine problems.
Ruman will continue to campaign the Cenweld/McNichols Co. Corvette in the Memorial Day event on Monday. The Trans-Am Series is the headliner series and it is the first time since 1999 that Trans-Am has raced at Lime Rock. The 100-mile event around the 1.53 mile race track will include a pit-stop, as all the Trans-Am races will this season.
“I find Lime Rock to be a fantastic track and the uniqueness of the Memorial Day weekend schedule there adds to the enjoyment. We plan to have the Cenweld/McNichols Co. Corvette back up to full capacity and we’ll be ready to race hard,” said Ruman.
Television – Mohegan Sun Grand Prix of Lime Rock will be shown LIVE on Speed Channel on Monday, May 27 at 3:00pm ET
