Maintains 10th Place in Trans-Am Points Standings
Long Beach, CA — The Trans-Am Series ran through the streets of Long Beach once again last weekend and Bob Ruman fought in the twenty-nine car pack to finish 10th.
“This is a very challenging course—but in an invigorating way,” exclaimed a pleased Bob Ruman after the race. “We ran strong in almost every session, top-13; the one we had a bit of a set back in was qualifying. That ended up being our worst session and we qualified 17th. But, as always, it’s the race that counts. We had a solid run with the Cenweld Corvette in the race. I moved up to a position where I could watch almost everything unfold.”
Ruman had a 10th place finish at the Trans-Am season opener in March. He stands 10th overall on the Trans-Am Championship points board. Ruman is in his sixth consecutive season with Trans-Am.
Trans-Am round three will be in Mosport, Canada May 20. This will be the first race to have the newly mandated pit-stop.
Television — The Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green Long Beach race will be televised on Sunday, April 15 at 12:00 (ET) on Speedvision.
