Munroe Falls, Ohio – The Trans Am Series Championship Presented by Pirelli will be at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, Braselton, GA, this weekend for the Bennett/BridgeHaul Classic, part of the Mission Foods Road Atlanta SpeedTour. Amy Ruman heads to Atlanta after scoring valuable points and a third-place finish last month in the opening round of the Championship at Sebring International Raceway, FL.
Ruman has had many accomplishments at the 12-turn, 2.54-mile iconic Road Atlanta track, driving the No. 23 McNichols Co. Chevrolet Corvette to three career TA victories there: in 2011 she captured her historic first Trans Am win, won again in 2015 and 2016, captured a second-place finish in 2017, and third-place in 2019.
“We had an excellent start to the season at Sebring, so I’m going to ride the momentum into Road Atlanta this weekend. I’ve always loved it here and the fans are just awesome. We have been making more tweaks to the car so I’m confident we can be fast here again. It will be a great race!” remarked Ruman.
Trans Am is running in conjunction with the Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) as part of the2024 SpeedTour. Fifty-five competitors are entered across all classes, with ten running in Ruman’s TA class. Testing, practices, qualifying, and races will take place Thursday through Sunday.
