Munroe Falls, Ohio – This weekend, the Trans Am Series will head to Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA for Round 2 of the 2016 Championship. After leading all but four of the final laps at the Sebring season opener, Ruman will look to bounce back after the heartbreaking loss and will try and repeat her Road Atlanta win last year.
Ruman is fond of the iconic 2.54-mile Road Atlanta circuit and is set to pilot the No. 23 McNichols Co. Corvette. She is hoping to continue her good fortune at Road Atlanta securing multiple podiums and scoring two wins here in the last five years, 2011 and 2015. 66 entries are slated to run in this weekend’s event across the five different TA classes in two races on Sunday April 10th.
“Hopefully we got our only snafu of the season over with at Sebring!” exclaimed Ruman. “Road Atlanta has traditionally been a really good track for us, and I expect we should be fast here again this weekend. We had a really dominate race win here last year, and I am looking to repeat that same scenario again.”
Ruman will vigorously set out to defend her 2015 Championship Title in Round 2 of the 50th Anniversary Season, with a bit of ground to make up in her pursuit of a second title after finishing 10th at Sebring. She currently sits 8th in the Championship standings with a total of 19 points.
