Munroe Falls, Ohio – Amy Ruman and team will be celebrating the 4th of July festivities over the weekend during Round 5 of the 2016 Trans Am Championship at Brainerd International Raceway (BIR) in the Ryan Companies Independence Day Classic. Ruman has her sights set on another track for back-to-back wins, as she took home victory hardware here in 2015 in the No. 23 McNichols Co. Corvette.
“First and foremost, for me this weekend is about our celebrating our United States military and remembering and thanking all of our service women and men and the sacrifices they have made and continue to make for us. We are so unbelievably blessed in this country to enjoy the freedoms that we have daily – so thank you from all of us at the Ruman Racing/McNichols Co. team!”, exclaimed Ruman. “I am happy to be back in the car and looking to have another great race here at Brainerd, and hopefully we can capture another win here on Sunday.”
Consistency is a key that Ruman continues to focus on in her mission for TA Championship number two, and as the season draws closer to the halfway mark, all points are crucial.
Ruman is looking to show her strength again at the event and hopes to open up a larger points gap in the fight for the Trans Am Championship. “BIR is such a classic track and it should be a great event this weekend in front of some awesome fans! My strategy hasn’t changed, I’m looking to score another win and gain as many points as possible here – it’s that simple. Consistency is vital now at the halfway point, we still have a lot of races in front of us so I am remaining poised and focused,” stated Ruman
