MIAMI, FL – March 12, 2012Trans Am Race Company announced today it will partner with www.GoRacingTV.com to provide a unique form of video coverage for the 2012 season. The partnership will afford Trans Am fans coverage of their favorite race series worldwide.
“We’re extremely enthusiastic with the package GoRacingTV.com has presented,” said Trans Am Race Company President, John Clagett. “Using the latest online and video technologies, we feel we can provide our fans with exciting news coverage and behind the scenes information. In addition, through GoRacingTV.com’s mobile App, fans can have their Trans Am fix where ever and whenever they want.”
“Trans Am has a rich history in American motorsports, dating back to the 1960’s and we are proud to be able to bring it through video to a whole new generation of fans,” said Errol Tucker Executive Producer of GoRacingTV.com. “To achieve this goal, we feel we have developed a video delivery strategy that is perfect for today’s fast paced market.”
GoRacingTV.com will provide a multi-Emmy Award winning production team to produce Trans Am coverage. The coverage will be twofold:
During each race weekend GoRacingTV.com will deliver “ENG” or electronic news-gathering style video vignettes to fans via the Internet and through the new GoRacingTV.com mobile App. Fans will be able to keep up with their favorite series and drivers throughout the weekend with quick 2 to 3 minute video updates.
At the end of each weekend there will be a “Trans Am this week” Video show summarizing the weekend’s full events. Each summary show will be complete with highlights of the weekend racing action and interviews with the drivers and Trans Am officials to give a true behind the scenes access and total access coverage approach. There will also be video racing action through trackside and on-board video cameras mounted on the front and back of 90% of the racing field.
Race weekend video vignettes and summary shows can be seen on www.GoRacingTV.com, www.GoTransAm.com’s Vimeo channel, www.vimeo.com/gotransam, www.YouTube.com and through GoRacingTV.com’s mobile App (available mid April).
All shows will be hosted by veteran Trans Am announcer Alfredo Nin.
Each Summary show will be produced in English and Spanish. Spanish speaking shows will have TV distribution in the Spanish speaking Caribbean and Latin America. TV distribution for the US is still in negotiations.
Video coverage will be backed up and promoted via social media support (Facebook, Twitter, You Tube etc.) and traditional online initiatives further communicating and promoting the success of the program as the Trans Am season unfolds.
Trans Am will kick-off the 2012 Championship run May 20, 2012 at Canadian Tire Mosport Park joining the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series for the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend. Previous Trans Am Mosport winners include Scott Pruett with four wins, Scott Sharp with three and many other Series legends; Paul Gentilozzi, Tommy Kendall, Bob Tulius, Elliot Forbes Robinson, Mark Donohue, Dorsey Schroeder and Canadian native (and track owner) Ron Fellows, just to name a few.

The SCCA Trans Am Series dates back to its first season in 1966. Throughout the years, some of the greatest names in motorsports have participated in the Trans Am Series.
