Munroe Falls, OH – Ruman Racing will kick off the 2008 season at the SCCA National in Summit Point, West Virginia on May 17-18. Amy Ruman heads into the 2008 season with two consecutive Northeast Division GT-1 titles under her belt along with five wins and seven pole positions last season. She will compete in the familiar #23 McNichols Co./Goodyear GT-1 red Corvette. Niki Ruman’s #23 Spec Racer will sport a new paint job and new primary sponsor – McNichols Co.
The Ruman Team is thrilled to announce that McNichols Co. has expanded its 2008 season sponsorship to include not only the Ruman Team’s GT-1 entry, but also Niki’s Spec Racer effort.
“We are totally enthusiastic about our continued partnership with McNichols Co. in 2008. They are a fantastic company and we have had a very successful run with their backing. This season will prove to be another exciting one, and I will drive my best to bring home victories for our sponsors and the team,” exclaimed Amy Ruman.
“With the McNichols sponsorship, I’ve decided to go back to a “Ruman Racing red” paint scheme on my Spec Racer. The paint and graphics on the car are modeled after the GT-1 Corvette, so we will have a team theme on the track in two different classes,” remarked Niki Ruman. “It will be especially fun to kick off the season at my “home” track of Summit Point, which is not far from Washington D.C. We are hoping for good weather and even more fan participation since SCCA scheduled this race later in the spring than it has been previously.”
