Munroe Falls, OH – Bob Ruman and Ruman Racing announce plans to compete in the 2002 Trans-Am Series. Ruman returns to Trans-Am competition in 2002, having raced consecutive years since 1996. He finished 9th in the Trans-Am Series points standings in 2001, with numerous top-10 finishes.
With a new look, Ruman will field a 2002 Chevrolet Corvette body, in his trademark red, at the Long Beach Grand Prix season opener April 13. Under the hood, Ruman will continue to utilize CRD motors for his power supply.

The 12 race 2002 Trans-Am Series will criss-cross the country to return to venues like Mid-Ohio, Lime Rock, and Cleveland. New venues will include Washington, D.C. in July and Miami, FL in October.
