Ruman Finished 3rd in the 2000 Long Beach Trans-Am
Munroe Falls, OH — Coming off his 10th place finish at the season opener in Sebring last month, Bob Ruman will head to the Long Beach Grand Prix 10th in the Trans-Am Series points standings. Ruman finished 3rd in last year’s Long Beach event and finished 10th in 1999. Campaigning the #23 Cenweld Corvette for the 2001 season, Ruman is racing his sixth consecutive season with Trans-Am.
“There is always a great deal of excitement at Long Beach, but last year there was so much more,” explains Ruman. “I love this track and will be pushing for a strong, top finish again this year.”
Ruman Racing returns with sponsorship from Cenweld Corp., a nationally recognized, final stage manufacturer of motor trucks for commercial, utility and municipal applications located in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Commercial Ullman Lubricants Co./Mobil is also back with the team as a supporting sponsor.
The Johnson Controls 100 presented by Simple Green Trans-Am Series round two will be on Sunday, April 8 at 3:45 (PT). The 54 lap, 100 mile race will be shown tape delay the following Sunday, April 15 at 12:00 (ET) on Speedvision.
Following Long Beach, Trans-Am will be at Mosport on May 20.
