Munroe Falls, OH – Under sunny Ohio skies, Ruman Racing had a good Memorial Day weekend showing at the Nelson Ledges SCCA National.
Amy Ruman qualified the #23 McNichols Co./Goodyear Corvette on the pole in a small three car GT-1 field. She went uncontested during the race and took the checkered in first place Sunday morning.
“After last week’s second place, it felt really good to bring home the win at my home track this weekend. The crew has given me a very fast car this year, making it easy for me to drive and put together great laps. I’m looking forward to getting back to Trans-Am racing this upcoming weekend at Mid-Ohio,” stated Ruman.
In his first event of the season, Bob Ruman qualified the #23 McNichols Co./Dynasty Motorsports Spec Racer in 11th position for Sunday’s race. He nearly had 10th position at the end of the race, but was unable to close the gap to get it done taking the checkered in 11th.
“It was good to be back in a racecar at Nelson Ledges,” said Bob Ruman. “The Spec Racers are a great group to run with and I had fun racing with them.”
