May 07, 2004 – Munroe Falls, OH – Ruman Racing headed north last weekend to New Hampshire International Speedway to compete in the GT-1 national. It was a sunny, warm, great weekend of racing. For the third time this season, Amy Ruman brought home a second place finish in #23 Ruman Racing McNichols/Cenweld Chevrolet Corvette.
“Wow – what a great weekend! I wasn’t even sure we would make it to the NHIS race, but I am very glad we did! It was close racing all weekend with Hopwood, Thummel, and Busch and we had a great race. I really wanted to win this one, but Jack (Busch) is such a tough competitor. He and Hopwood have about a million miles at NHIS so I knew they would be tough to beat. I have to thank my crew for such a great effort to get us there and enable us to bring home another second place finish,” stated Ruman.
This was Ruman’s fourth National for the 2004 season. She is currently leading the GT-1 Northeast Division with 33 points.
