Munroe Falls, OH – The Ruman Racing team headed west to Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI for Round 4 of the 2010 SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series championship. This weekend’s race is part of the inaugural NASCAR Nationwide Series Bucyrus 200 presented by Menards.
Ruman took to the track today in a steamy, very humid 92 degrees, and participated in three practice sessions. Running fast all day, Ruman rounded out the afternoon and finished the third session in 4th position.
“We had a great day and the car was running great. I was mainly working on spots where I could pick up some time. I am confident that we have a good car for tomorrow’s qualifier,” stated Ruman. “I really like running at Road America, and it should be a great weekend.”
Ruman will be driving the #23 McNichols Co./Goodyear/Cenweld Chevrolet Corvette in the full, 19-car field. Saturday’s schedule for the Trans-Am Series will feature one qualifying session from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. CDT. The green flag will fly for the race on Sunday at 1 p.m. CDT.
